  • provide access to the Catalogue Room “Emil Racoviță”
  •  for the use of students, graduates and other user categories (room I: 144 seats; room II: 38 seats; room III: 38 seats)
  • provide document consultations
  • provide information services
  • ensure a comfortable and adequate reading environment
  • provide access to the copy machines near the reading rooms

“Alexandru Lapedatu” Room – Professors Room

  • Situated on the ground floor
  • Destined for the use of university staff (20 seats)
  • Provides the possibility of reserving the solicited publications
  • Provides services of information and documentation
  • Provides access to the scientific journals and to the subscribed databases
  • Ensures a comfortable and adequate reading environment
  • Provides access to copy machines, as well as to digitization services and document photography

“Adrian Marino” Room – Doctoral Students Room

  • Is situated on the second floor
  • Is designed for doctoral students, researchers and university professors, as well as for those who are interested in the collection from the Adrian Marino donation (32 seats)
  • The documents from the Adrian Marino archive can be consulted
  • Ensures a comfortable and adequate reading environment
  • Provides access to copy machines, as well as to the document digitization and photographing services

“Rațiu-Tilea” Room – Room for periodicals published prior to the current year

  • Is situated on the second floor
  • Is designed for users who request publications from the Ion Rațiu and Tilea collection
  • Provides access to periodicals (newspapers and magazines) that are not currently published
  • Provides access to photographing and/or digitization services for the requested publications

“Mikó Imre” Room – Researchers Room

  • Situated on the first floor
  • Destined for the use of researchers (30 seats)
  • Provides the possibility of reserving the solicited publications
  • Provides services of information and documentation
  • Provides access to the scientific journals and to the subscribed databases
  • Ensures a comfortable and adequate reading environment
  • Provides access to copy machines, as well as to digitization services and document photography

 

“Gheorghe Barițiu” Room – Current Periodical Room

 

  • Situated on the first floor
  • Destined for the use of readers of all categories (36 seats)
  • Provides free access to the latest issues of the current newspapers and journals, organized by fields of knowledge
  • Provides access to the previous issues of the current year
  • Provides access to the Legal Collection of Current Periodicals
  • Ensures a comfortable and adequate reading environment
  • Provides access to copy machines

 

“Lucian Blaga” Room – Social Sciences Room

 

  • Situated on the second floor
  • Destined for the use of readers of all categories (60 seats)
  • Provides free access to the collection present in the room
  • Contains recent publications from the fiend of social sciences and humanities
  • Provides specialized information services
  • Provides copying services (CD, DVD, memory stick) for legislative documents (LEX)
  • Ensures a comfortable and adequate reading environment
  • Provides access to the copy machines near the reading rooms

Reference Room

  • Is situated on the ground floor
  • Is designed for users of all categories who own a library card (24 seats)
  • Owns an important collection of dictionaries, encyclopedias and reference works
  • Thematically assorts the documents and the bibliographic resources
  • Provides free access to the documents
  • The reference librarian offers specialized information
  • Provides references via e-mail
