Dear users,
We would like to inform you that the “Lucian Blaga” Central University Library of Cluj-Napoca (main building, located at 2 Clinicilor Street) is undergoing a major energy rehabilitation process, which is why the library will be closed during this period. We apologize for the inconvenience and assure you that we are making every effort to minimize the impact on your activity.
This rehabilitation project is financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Component 5 – Renovation Wave – Operation: Moderate energy renovation of public buildings – Central authorities – “Energy renovation of the ‘Lucian Blaga’ Central University Library in order to ensure proper study conditions and the preservation and conservation of publications.” Our goals are to improve the energy efficiency of the building for reduced energy consumption and a lower ecological impact, to optimize study conditions by providing a more comfortable and modern environment for users, to adapt the infrastructure for the protection and conservation of the book collections and other documentary resources, as well as to increase sustainability by using state-of-the-art technological solutions.
We are aware of how important access to the library’s resources is for academic and research activity, and we aim to resume operations at modern standards as soon as possible.
All branch libraries located within the faculties of Babeș-Bolyai University remain open with their regular/exam session schedules, ensuring study and research conditions.
